A Moment of Gracefulness
Last night my mom & step dad had a bonfire. It was my sister N’s birthday so everyone hung out at the parental units house. Step dad decided it would be fun to have a bonfire so him and Caleb built a fire pit. Caleb was so excited - he has a thing for bonfires (guess he gets that from me seems how I love camping and bonfires). Even though I hate the smoke getting in my eyes I just love the smell of campfire in my hair and on my clothes (yes I know I’m weird but I’m pretty sure we’ve established this before!).
Anyways…
I tend to be a bit on the klutzy side sometimes but I’m proud to say that for once a mishap that involved me had NOTHING to do with the klutz skills I possess.
Everyone was sitting around the fire. We were all laughing, talking and having a good ole time when Caleb decides to come sit by me. Let me just say that the ground was VERY uneven where I was sitting and all it took was one little touch from him to send me over backwards.
Had the wood pile not been right behind me it probably would of been pretty hilarious. My head hit with a thump, my neck & shoulder kind of slid the rest of the way down as the chair finished falling. It hurt like he**! Today, I have a nice goose egg on the back of my head, several scrapes & bruises on my neck & shoulder and I hurt way worse than I did last night when it happened.
I still can’t help but kind of giggle about the whole thing. I can only imagine what kind of sight that was - the chair going over, my legs & arms flailing in the air and a nice scream erupting from my mouth. Yeah I’m sure it would of been a perfect Kodak moment (thank God it was dark out and no one had a camera).
Now that’s what I call a moment of gracefulness! N-O-T NOT!
Oh it’s never a dull moment in my presence
And although I can’t take credit for this little event, it still involved me…go figure.

Sorry about your chair tipping incident, it could have been worse and went INTO the fire- yikes! Anyway, we just built a fire pit but we haven’t had a bonfire yet only burned some sticks in it.
Hey thanks for commenting on my blog today:)
