Some Pics from Outdoor Adventure

Aug-26-2008 By Tish

Last Saturday we took the kids to a place called Outdoor Adventure. It’s a big (scratch that it’s HUUUUUGE) campground with an outdoor pool, indoor pool, beach area, miniature golf, a trolley that takes you all around the campground, etc. It was neat and Caleb loved it. After leaving there we went to B’s friend J’s parent’s place on the lake for a BBQ, fishing and paddle boating.

It stormed pretty bad as we were on our way back from J’s parent’s place. At least the bad weather held off until the kids got to do all the fun outdoor stuff!

It Was A Loss But So Much Fun

Jul-20-2008 By Tish

Despite the rain that delayed the game for a bit it was a blast. The game was exciting! The Beach Bums were behind up until the ninth inning when they scored two runs to tie things up sending it into overtime. After 10 innings they ended up losing 6-4 which was a big bummer but it was still an awesome game. And today I have a hoarse voice from all the yelling I did last night. It was a blast and I’m so glad I went.

It was late by the time the game got over but we still wanted to grab ‘dinner’ regardless of the fact it was a little after 10 by the time we got to Olive Garden. Can I just say that Olive Garden rocks? OMG! I’ve never been to an Olive Garden before and it was awesome. The food was great (I had a chicken alfredo pizza). It wasn’t as expensive as I was expecting it to be either which was a good thing. It’s very reasonably priced.

By the time we got back to my sisters house where my car was parked it was around 11:30 and I still had an hour drive home. When I was almost into Gaylord I was stopped….

Bet you were thinking I was going to say I was pulled over didn’t ya? Nah I was stopped in the road for a bunch of rescue vehicles and fire engines. One of the guys on the last fire engines to stop got out to tell me I needed to take a detour down a bunch of back roads. Ok so I’ve lived here for several years now but when it comes to back roads this girl has NO clue where she’s going. Read the rest of this entry »

Friday Night Boringness:

Caleb just left for his dad’s a bit ago. I’m finishing up some client projects and will be curling up in my reading chair with the new book I’m reading, The Long Road Home - A Story of War and Family by Martha Raddatz, shortly.

I’m not doing ANYTHING tonight. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Actually I suppose vegging and reading are technically doing something, but you get my drift. I’m not going anywhere. I’m not getting out of my pajamas until the bubble bath later that’s already calling my name. I’m just in the mood to chill and be by myself.

Saturday Night Excitement:

PhotobucketTomorrow night I’m going to a Beach Bums game with my sister M who I don’t see very often. I’m looking forward to getting the heck out of the town for the night and just getting away. And I’m a baseball freak. I love the Traverse City Beach Bums!

Last year when a group of us went (my sister M, my dad, his girlfriend, Caleb, 1 of Caleb’s friends and a girl that kind of ‘adopted’ my dad’s girlfriend as her mom) I think us girls embarrassed my dad. We were talking about the guys in their uniforms and how nice some of their rumps were. LOL Isn’t that why all women like baseball? Just kidding. I do like it for other reasons aside from men in uniforms. Seriously. But I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that the eye candy wasn’t partially a reason as to why I liked the sport ;-)

Our dad won’t be with us this year so we can hoot and holler all we want! It’s going to be fun. I’m looking forward to it not just because I get to spend some time with M but because I need to get out and have some fun. I’d like to say I’ll post some pics but I can’t seems how my digital camera died awhile ago. Man that’s sad I won’t be able to provide pictures of my favorite eye candy players. The eye candy that I’m looking forward to checking out watch play the game most are Brad Roblin, Zack Kalter and David Nathanson.

Woo Hoo I’m excited! Take me out to the ballgame….yeah that song will be stuck in my head the rest of the night now!

Red Sox Rock

May-18-2008 By Tish

PhotobucketI enjoyed a nice, quiet, lazy day today. I honestly didn’t do much of anything other than veg out on the couch and it was great! At one point I felt guilty about being so lazy so I got up and tried picking up my apartment. Only problem with that was that I cleaned yesterday so there wasn’t anything to pick up today. LOL I’m not sure why I felt guilty about enjoying a lazy day of doing nothing but I did.

I watched the Red Sox / Brewers game today. The Sox were behind for the first couple innings and then they pulled ahead in the third inning when both Ortiz (David) and Pedroia (Dustin) hit homers. They won the game 11-7! They had four home runs, 2 by Ortiz. I wasn’t overly impressed with Beckett’s (Josh) pitching but it was ok. All in all it was a pretty awesome game and the Sox won and that’s all that mattered :-)

The Hunt is on!

For something that should be a simple process - finding and purchasing a sports bra - it sure is turning into a nightmare!

Come on now…I’m not the only woman in the world that plays sports and needs something to support my girls! And I also happen to know that I’m not the only ‘large’ chested woman in the world playing sports in desperate need of something to support those ‘girls’ of mine.

So tell me…why is it so cotton picking stinking hard to find a sports bra?
